Originally released in an edition of 500 copies. These are mint original archive copies from that very 1982 pressing, packaged in new sleeve art for the 40th anniversary. There are only 20 numbered copies of each colour sleeve edition.

Distant Drums were active from 1980 until 1983 in the new wave / post-punk scene of Colchester (eg. Modern English),
they had given numerous concerts at the time (playing along with Troops For Tomorrow, supporting The Passage etc).

Their sole release was the nowadays extra-rare 'Perfect Eyes / Halloween' 7" single,
which is currently traded among collectors for pretty high prices in the second-hand vinyl market.

3 extra unreleased songs which were recorded in December 1981 in Octopus Studios, carefully transferred from what appears to be the *last cassette copy* that survived the test of time!...

In 2013, all of the material was eventually released on a strictly limited edition 12",
(303 hand-numbered copies, half of them pressed on transparent blue vinyl) via This Statement Records accompanied with an A4-sized double sided insert, containing an archival band photo,
& extra notes written directly from band member Martin Golding.
